Kim Rupert –
I grew this as a test rose from Sequoia Nursery many years ago. Mr. Moore was determining whether to introduce it or not and felt no one would want it as it “didn’t rebloom”. I planted it on a slope in my Zone 9b mid desert garden where it endured temps from 15F to 115F and grew to four feet tall by 10′ by 10′. There, in full desert sun, it flowered CONTINUOUSLY all the warm months! It didn’t rebloom at Sequoia in four inch pots but stretching and enjoying the desert sun and heat, it was magnificent! It never had any fungal issues there and NOTHING touched it. No aphids and no rabbits or squirrels would eat it, though they ate everything else. It’s pollen fertile with the right mate, in case anyone wondered. Had I the room, I’d grow it again in a heartbeat but give it ROOM. It wants it!
