Edith’s Darling tends to cover the entire bush thoroughly with blooms, which is wonderful because they are so pretty! Mine is in a 5a Colorado zone and it flushes, pauses, and then flushes again throughout the season. It bounces back from each cold winter and has good disease resistance.

Edith’s Darling is the best yellow rose in my garden. It stays neat and compact and is very happy in a container. It’s either in bud ready to bloom or in full bloom. Right now, it has so many blooms in various phases that the leaves are nearly obscured. It has survived the recent blistering heat wave (10 consecutive days where the heat was 97 or above), where other roses have been sunburned. And it’s fragrant in both cool weather or heat.
