Out of the 10 roses I ordered from High Country Roses this summer Grande Dame is my favorite so far! She has HUGE maiden blooms and the most enchanting fragrance I’ve ever smelled! So much fragrance that when I cut one single bloom and brought it inside I could smell it every time I walked by it! I can’t even imagine how amazing this rose is going to be when it matures! I don’t double up on varieties often, but Grande Dame is one I’d love to purchase more of!

I brought Grande Dame on a whim and I’m glad I did! Starting blooming within and she smells absolutely AMAZING! I can’t wait to she what she does when she is mature.

A very hybrid tea looking rose. Huge blooms at the expense of growth. Thankfully we had a very late frost and it was able to grow a bit. Sadly it was completely defoliated but black spot, so if its in your area you will need to spray.

I received the bush in good condition. It was strongly rooted and begging to be transplanted. From its growth so far I cannot rate if it has an attractive bush habit but I can say it’s very vigorous. At some leaf nodes, it was pushing 3 different nodes! It experienced transplant shock which muted some of the new growth but eventually picked some nodes and pushed new buds. It has bronze new growth that turns dark with maturity and it is completely clean while other roses get powdery mildew.
