New to me this year, this rose has been really healthy and putting on good growth.

My husband surprised me with this rose late in summer and it’s already a favorite. The fragrance is a lovely mix of lemon and raspberry and every time I smell it I want to do some baking. The blooms are delicately pretty but hold up well in heat, rain and wind, although they tend to nod a bit. It’s an old-fashioned looking bloom on a vigorous plant with heavy, thick canes. Health is very good.
Marina Dimitriadis –
One of my biggest roses from a big order in 2021. It is growing magnificently, around 8 feet tall and pumping out the most beautiful full and fragrant blooms. Perfect for cutting and very disease resistant in zone 7a.
Connie Bressler –
Excellent disease resistance and super vigorous grower. It can handle my tough Western North Carolina environment. I do wish that it had more blooms, but mine is only two years old. It is HUGE. I can’t wait to see it bloom next season.

Kiss me Kate did not do well for my gardening friend as it hardly gave him 3-4 blooms in 3 years.so I was apprehensive but I bought it because of the photo. Amazingly in the first year itself it gave me quite a few blooms in bunches! Great fragrance and form!

I purchased Kate in the spring of 2022. When I unboxed her I broke her main cane and she was left without about 4″ of top growth. 😩 Well that didn’t bother her one bit. By the end of 2023 she had ten canes over nine feet tall! She’s a beast! Her first flush is amazing and her scent will knock your socks off, but her repeat isn’t very strong for me. I’m hoping with the it will improve.

This was my third season with this rose. She died to the ground last winter and bounced back quickly ending with a several canes about 6’ tall. I have only ever had one flush of blooms every year. The flowers are large and have a strong fragrance and I love them. A weird thing is I cannot get this rose to break laterals even when trained horizontal along the fence. Hopefully I can keep the main canes alive this winter as I suspect this is the root of the problem. Zone 5b. 5,870ft elevation.
