She does exactly what I wanted her to, but be warned – she is NOT a repeat bloomer. That’s on me for not reading carefully. But. She gets no diseases, she’s a prolific bloomer when she blooms, and her vigor knows no bounds. Whack off a limb, she grows six more, and sends them out to trap unwary victims. I have her growing up through my peach tree so it looks as if it’s full of bloom after the blooms on the peach have fallen. This is pretty great. Planted 2020.
Duane Scheidemantle –
Very disease resistant and unbelievably strong growing: makes a wonderful climber in mild climates, a large shrub where colder.
The myrrh fragrance is one of those smells that seems to be loved or hated, so smell for yourself.
Only once blooming, but a long bloom period.

A spectacular rose. I’ve moved but in my previous home I used to sit outside with my coffee in the morning at the Constance Spry just to stare at her in bloom. I am on the wait list to buy it again.
