Floribunda (William J. Radler, United States, before 2019)
Bright & Shiny produces blooms in a bright, cheerful color of apricot-orange suffused with yellow that finishes light pink. The foliage is dark green and glossy, which provides an excellent contrast to the bright blooms.

If you want a rose that cheers you up just glancing at it, Bright and Shiny is the one! It’s just a happy rose with those glowing golden stamens in the middle and the range of colors from pale to apricot to pink as the bloom matures and gets sun. It’s very phototropic, so on sunny days the petals will be hot pink and if it’s cloudy weather it’s very pale. The foliage matches the name too with lovely glossy bright green leaves and I’ve never had any disease at all on this rose. It’s on my very short list of ‘if something kills it I’ll buy it again’ roses!

Thank you Mr. Radler, this rose is a keeper. For me in the PNW it has been completely disease resistant, last year surviving a massive infestation of tent caterpillars. Does well in full sun or part sun, and it is really a rose that makes you happy. Strong grower with very healthy green leaves, lots of thorns, and the sweetest flowers and great in arrangements. I will always grow this rose.
