Hybrid Rugosa (Alain Meilland, France, 2003)
Raspberry Rugostar is a low spreading shrub that has high resistance to leaf spot resistance and mildew. It may look like a simple rose but it will provide an elegant touch to any garden throughout the season.

Mary Cookson –
I have to admit, I’m especially fond of rugosas in general. They are very disease-resistant, live a long time, and not only are the flowers beautiful, but many have a lovely foliage display in fall, and set lots of hips for winter interest. Raspberry Rugostar has been in my garden for two seasons, and it’s definitely a star. The color, for one thing, is so intense and beautiful. It’s semi-double, and the bees absolutely love it. It has a nice rugosa fragrance, and sets hips freely. Out of the rugosas in my garden, Raspberry Rugostar flowers the most often, and has the most flowers per flush. It also has the most hips. It’s definitely a favorite in my garden.
