This rose in the Canadian Explorer series is named after Italian explorer and adventurer John Cabot (c. 1450 – c. 1499). Cabot is credited with the 1497 discovery of parts of North America under the commission of Henry VII of England. The official position of the Canadian and United Kingdom governments is that he landed on the island of Newfoundland.

Good plant. had green stems all winter and it grows well in all kinds of weather. Mine is light pink, but its on a balcony facing west, so it does get strong light at noonish and fades out past dinner but its growing much better then i expected. used fertilier bio tone to help when potting.
