I love this rose, even the color of the leaves seems special, it has proved itself hardy in the Utah heat and the Utah winter, I grow many types of roses in my garden, but this one has become a favorite.

This Rose is absolutely magnificent. I searched for Griffith Buck roses for years because, living in Iowa, I was aware of Griff’s research and wanted continual blooming plant that provided the beauty if a rose and the hardiness of a peony. This particular beauty is now 2 years old and has grown over 5ft tall. These roses begin leafing out in late March, when the daffodils begin to peak through and if a freeze sets in during that time, they adapt and continue growing. The blooms start out as a rich apricot bud that matures to a 5-6″ bloom that appears to be delicate pastel pink. However, as the bloom continues to expand over the life of th individual flower, the center of the blooms will either remain pink or display hues of the yellow apricot color all on the same plant. Once fully mature, the flowers fade from either the yellow or pink center into almost snow white petals on the outer edges. Just add a little liquid fertilizer when you see the first few leaves come in and once more around late September, along with a dose of liquid fence everybnow and again to keep the deer at bay and she should last a long time.
